Frequently asked questions
1Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. All image processing happens locally in the app using the browser's Canvas API and encoding libraries. Your image data never leaves your machine, which is important for sensitive screenshots or proprietary images.
2What's the best format for web images?
WebP offers the best compression for most images — typically 25-35% smaller than JPEG at equivalent quality, with transparency support. PNG is best for images that need lossless quality or sharp edges (like UI screenshots). JPEG is the most widely compatible.
3Does resizing maintain aspect ratio?
Yes. When you specify a width or height, the other dimension is calculated automatically to maintain the aspect ratio. You can also specify both dimensions if you want to crop or stretch.
